MATERIA - furniture and interior decor design and manufacture workshop established by a collective of young creatives and entrepreneurs who share a passion for wood and sustainable design.

We strive to create furniture pieces that balance functionality and form with material richness and rigorous handcrafted details. Our pieces are designed with a simplicity that merges a clean, minimalist aesthetics with organic, natural, "flawed" features, and the character of old wood. Most of our objects are manufactured from materials that have been rejected from other use, recycled, reclaimed, or repurposed.

We intend to grow our business and the community in which we operate in a sustainable way by supporting a way of doing business that is empowering to the individual and caring towards the environment.

MATERIA is the one of the winning businesses of the largest social enterprise competition in Romania, Fabricat in Tara lui Andrei, a project organized by OMV Petrom in partnership with NESsT Foundation Romania.
